RICS Building Survey

The structural survey – RICS Building Survey (Level 3)

The Building Survey (Level 3) is the most in depth  and extensive report we provide compared to the the RICS Condition Report (Level 1) and the RICS Homebuyer Report (Level 2).

At Chesterton Smart we would suggest that this type of report is used when purchasing buildings ove 80 years old or with significant damage. Our report will provide you with an in depth explanation of the defects and any available remedies.

This type of report will include as much additional information as possible to ensure that you are obtaining best value.

  • A thorough look at the condition of the property, advice on defects, repairs, and maintenance.
  • A thorough breakdown of each building element’s condition
  • Photographic evidence of each section
  • Recommendations for further testing or special reports.
  • Advice regarding guarantees, planning and building control issues, disputes to be followed up by your Legal Advisor
  • Hazards that could affect your health and/or the building

How long does it take to receive the survey?

What happens if your Level 3 report identifies defects?

We can discuss with you the extent of the defects we have found together with suggested remedies.
